One
Process
All the footage seen in this has been shot on a sony a7ii, iphone12, or from previous projects I have worked on. Some of the footage I created was done using a projector, water glasses, and a camera. I also tried using paint, dish soap, and oil to create the colorful liquid bubbles. Using these colorful abstract liquid and light imagery I would use for backgrounds in the screaming sequences and layer them with artwork from my peers (Aster Cho, Alex Echavarria, Joshua Decasseres, & Alejandro Santori). This process took a lot of rotoscoping myself in different areas composited and layered with artwork and footage. Below is an example of the colorful liquid footage separate and then a comped version with a drawing done by Alex Exhavarria.

Styleframes
During my senior thesis, I encountered a challenge in defining my style. However, I came to the realization that my true style emerges from what I find most enjoyable. Thus, in the project, I wholeheartedly embraced a mixed media animation approach, integrating experimental practical effects. This allowed me to craft a vibrant and psychedelic aesthetic that resonated with my creative vision.
